Who we are

Drafyx is made by ivibebuildthings, India (“we”), who decides how your personal data is used (the “data fiduciary” under India’s DPDP Act). Contact: vjdothecode@gmail.com.

Your files

The editor runs in your browser, and most tools process the PDFs, pictures, drawings and 3D models you open on your device.

The engineering tools work on your device too. Dimension reading, Drawing review, the revision change report, Drawing → 3D and the 3D studio’s CAD engine run in your browser: your file is not sent to us when you use them. No one at Drafyx sees your files.

Other tools that make new files from yours (print-shop and safe copies, slides, translations, spreadsheets) make them on your device.

Some tools (natural voices, AI background removal, Better OCR, the 3D studio’s CAD engine) download their engines from our website the first time you use them; they are stored in your browser, and your documents are not sent with them.

Translate uses your browser’s built-in translator (where available it works on your device; your browser may download its language packs). Speaking to the 3D studio uses only your browser’s on-device speech recognition: no audio leaves your device.

AI help (Pro + AI only). AI help is a paid feature of the Pro + AI plan and runs on our AI service. When a Pro + AI user asks for AI help, the request (the text the tool sends, such as a request in the 3D studio, a drawing’s notes, sentences to reword or translate, or a question to Ask the document) is sent to our AI service to be processed and is not kept. AI help is off for everyone else.

My files (Pro and Pro + AI only). You can choose to save a file online with Save to My files or Add a file; nothing is saved there unless you do. Pro has 200 MB of space and Pro + AI 500 MB (on Pro a document up to 10 MB and a CAD file up to 30 MB; on Pro + AI 20 MB and 50 MB). Saved files are sent over an encrypted connection, kept encrypted on our storage provider under a random name, and only you can list, open or delete them, with your login. A file you do not open for 7 days leaves My files and no longer counts against your space; it is deleted for good 15 days after you last opened it, and you can delete any file yourself at any time. Once, when your space is nearly full, we may ask whether you would like more space and would pay for it; your answer is kept with your account so we can plan.

What we keep when you create an account

  • Account: your email address, your name (if you give it) and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email Google shares. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our account provider.
  • Plan: whether you are on the trial, Pro or Pro + AI, and its dates.
  • Sign-in: an identifier of your newest login session and of the device it came from, so that one login works on one device at a time.
  • Pro tool use: which Pro tools you opened and when, the date a trial started (when trials apply), and a device identifier made from your browser (a random number stored in your browser and a hash of basic browser settings), used only to allow one trial per device.
  • Payments: the payment reference, product, amount, tax and currency. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider and never reach us.
  • Days you used the editor: one mark per day that your account opened the editor, with the browser name and whether it was the website or the desktop app, to count how many people use it.
  • Messages you send us: when you use Help › Report a problem or send an idea, your message, your account email and, if you leave the box ticked, the tool that was open, the app version and your browser, so we can answer you. Our replies are kept with it.

What the app reports without knowing who you are

  • Error reports: when something in the editor fails, it sends the error message, the script file and line, the tool that was open, the app version and the browser name. Nothing identifies you: no account, no email, no file name and nothing from your documents (emails, long numbers and file names are removed from the message before it is sent and again when it is stored).
  • Tool counts: how many times each tool was opened, sent as totals without your account.
  • Website visits: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views on the website (not inside the editor) without cookies and without personal data.

Why we keep it

To run your account, to give you the Pro tools you paid for or are trying, to keep each login to one device, to stop abuse of the free trial, to issue invoices, and to meet legal and tax duties. The error reports, tool counts and visit counts help us find and fix problems and see which tools people need. We do not sell your data, show ads or use tracking cookies.

Who processes it for us

  • Supabase (account and database service; data stored in Singapore).
  • Dodo Payments (payments; it acts as the merchant of record and handles sales tax, VAT and GST).
  • Google, only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
  • Cloudflare (website hosting, our AI service, the storage behind My files (R2) and the bot check on sign-up, login and password reset (Turnstile), which looks at your browser, not your documents).

These providers may store and process your data outside your country (the account database is in Singapore; Cloudflare works worldwide). They work only on our instructions and must protect it as this policy says.

How we protect it

Every connection to the website and our services is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are kept only as a secure hash by our account provider. Files in My files are stored encrypted and only your login can list, open or delete them. Only the owner can see the account database, and a bot check guards sign-up, login and password reset. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires.

Your browser’s storage

The site keeps your sign-in session and your preferences (language, theme, layout, the tools you pinned) in your browser’s local storage. The editor also keeps, only in your browser: the list of recent files (names, sizes and dates, not the files), the details you saved for Sign & send, letterheads and templates you saved, and what the tools learned from your corrections (Help › What the tools learned shows it and can clear it). None of this is sent to us. These are needed for the site to work; there are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Your documents: not sent to us, so not kept, except files you save to My files: until you delete them, and at most 15 days after you last opened them (after 7 days unopened they leave My files). Account data and your messages: while your account exists. Pro-use records and days of use: up to 12 months. Error reports and tool counts (anonymous): up to 24 months. Payment records: as long as tax law requires (in India, up to 8 years).

Your rights

You can delete your account yourself at any time on your account page (Delete account): your login, your plan, your files in My files and the rest of your data are deleted at once; payment records are kept without your name, as tax law requires. You can also ask for a summary or a copy of your data, or a correction, by writing to vjdothecode@gmail.com from your account email. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account; this does not undo what was done before. Under India’s DPDP Act you can also name someone to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself. We reply within 30 days.

Complaints

Write to our Grievance Officer first. We acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or, where you live elsewhere (for example in the EU, under the GDPR), to your data protection authority.

Children

The service is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children’s data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell account holders by email about important changes.
